Severe Weather Preparedness Course for Large Venues

The Severe Weather Preparedness Academy for Venue Safety and Security (AVSS) Specialized Course is a 2-day curriculum, where students will learn how to develop a severe weather preparedness plan for all types of public assembly venues, fairs, expositions, and other events where large crowds assemble. Students will be introduced to short fused severe weather threats impacting public assembly venues and events of all kinds and develop the skills necessary to develop venue preparedness plans. Managers, Assistant Managers, and those responsible for guest safety at all types of public assembly venues and events around the world are invited to attend.

The course will take place February 28-29, 2012 at the National Weather Center in Norman, Okla. The cost is $675, which includes a copy of the AVSS Severe Weather Planning Guide, two lunches, four refreshment breaks, attendance at the closing reception and dinner, and a certificate of completion.
