Note that NCAR, Center Green, Building 1 is literally about a one-minute walk from the Boulder Residence Inn. Go out to the road, Center Green Drive , turn right (north) and you'll see CG-1. Daily Workshop Locations

All of the Summer WAS*IS sessions will be held at:
NCAR Foothills Lab (FL)
3450 Mitchell Lane
Boulder , CO 80301

We will be in two main rooms at the FL, but you MUST always enter through Building 2 to sign it at the main desk. Click here for a map, see Foothill Lab, Building 2 is the blue square labeled FL2. For those of you staying at the Residence Inn, you can walk between the hotel and the NCAR Foothills Lab. It's about a 10-minute walk if you take the path (which we'll tell you about later). You can also drive or ride with friends and park at the Foothills Lab. Parking is FREE!

On Friday and Saturday, July 14-15, we will be in FL1 (the building to the east of FL2) in the EOL Atrium. To get to the atrium, go in through FL2, go up the stairs (which are to the right of the main desk) to the second floor. When you get to the second floor, go left and walk across the pedestrian bridge to FL1. As you get to FL1, you'll see signs pointing you left toward the EOL Atrium.

On Monday, July 17, and Wednesday through Friday, July 19-21, we will be in FL2 in Room 1001, which is immediately to your left as you enter the building.

On Tuesday, July 18, we'll be taking an all-day field trip to Fort Collins , the Big Thompson canyon, and Rocky Mountain National Park . We'll be leaving from and returning to the NCAR Foothills Lab parking lot for this trip.

Daily Workshop and Dinner Times

The workshop sessions will begin each day at 8:20 a.m. and end between 5:00 and 5:30 p.m. There are NO organized workshop sessions on Sunday, July 16, but there is an optional trip to the NWS Denver/Boulder Forecast Office late Sunday afternoon for those who wish to attend. On Tuesday, we'll be leaving from NCAR at 7:00 a.m. sharp for our field trip!

We'll also be having group dinners on Friday, Saturday, Monday, and Thursday evenings that we would like everyone to attend. All group dinners will begin at 7:00 p.m. We'll provide transportation to the restaurants.
